Hi creative minds! Instagram feed on point like a pro 2.0. You might have seen it already.. my Insta feed has changed! At the moment there is a huge development at Instagram. First of all the algorithm of course, what a huge bummer this is. My engagement rate is lower than before and i can’t see all the other pictures at my timeline. Now time has changed. From minimalism to extremely colorful pictures. This transition is really popular at the moment. Maybe because the economic crisis is “over”. I’ve seen more feeds which are more colorful, vibrant and structured right now. Maybe just maybe people want to expres themselve less sober and grey. Minimalism was very popular the past few years at Insta. I was one of the few accounts with an explosion of colors.. maybe a bit too extravert. Loopgiveaways, how effective are those for your Insta account? A while ago i recieved several invites for a loop giveaway. For those who don’t know what this is: a giveaway organised by (Insta)bloggers. If you participate as a blogger your part of a sort of “chain reaction”. When i was young this was ‘a thing’ (Dutch: kettingbrief) on paper, i wrote a letter to someone and the other one needed to write something to someone else and so long. Now it’s a trend online where you share a box full of goodies for your (future) followers. The only thing they need to do is follow the instructions and violá they are having a chance to win this goodybag! Why is this so popular amongst bloggers right now? The first results showing you will reach more people and will gain more followers. Then again of course to get this attention, most loopgiveaways aren’t for free. Hi fashion reader, It’s almost a year ago i wrote a post about my favorite shopping sites. And one of these sites was Aliexpress. I guess you’ve seen a lot of their items at my blog of this big online marketplace. It’s my top fashion source: Aliexpress. Asian webshops are booming, first there were the mobile phone covers and now it’s less a shame to buy your clothes from far away. Webshops like ‘Wish’ and ‘MiniInTheBox’ are very popular. I swear by Aliexpress, i discovered this site a year ago and since then i’m obsessed to find good deals. The first negative comments were, it isn’t good quality and it looks cheap. My answer to this is, the bigger musthave webshops in the Netherlands buy there stuff also at the huge Asian online market. Only they sell it to the costumer for a more expensive price. So why don’t buy it directly from the Asian seller ;). That’s exactly what i’m doing at Aliexpress: finding those items for a good price. Lately i saw an other advertisement for knock off bikini’s like Triangl. They were selling them for €25, i’ve seen them for $10 (like €9,00 shipping included). Waterfall coats? Aliexpress! […]

Hi dearest reader, This post is because a few people asked me, how do you do this and how do you do that etcetera. I guess because i am developing my photography skills and trying to improve my pictures. In this post i will explain how i edit my pictures for my blog and Instagram. I will start with the basics, 5 tips to brighten up your pictures: 1. Camera (reflexcamera). The popular ones are Canon and Nikon. I have a Nikon D3200, because at the time i bought it, i was searching for a good one which i can easily connect with my iPhone. I’m connecting my camera and mobile phone with a connector called “WU-1a” from Nikon. Such a good investment, where i go i can connect it without WiFi needed!! I use these settings frequently: P. 1.3 and iso 800. The most important is to use natural light and photography not against the light ;). 2. Good mobile phone (with a good camera) like.. 8mp or higher. I have an IPhone 5s. It doesn’t really matter which one you have, if the camera is sharp then it’ll be just fine. 3. Photoshop. HI lovelies, Because my Instagram tips & tricks post was soooo popular (thanks for the love), i decided to write an article about the perks of the amount of followers: The -fake- side of Instagram. How to recognise fake accounts? and why it is soo tempting to buy followers ? Sadly also bloggers are a part of the “fake followers” group. Dearest reader, You may noticed that my Instagram account is growing and growing. I guess the most asked question is how i managed that? Hi lovely reader, Maybe you know the feeling if something doesn’t work the way you want to. Well i got this feeling while i was building this blog. Many times i needed to ask myself, what i was doing wrong? I am working with wordpress now for almost a year and still i don’t know everything, especially the SEO side of it. However if you aren’t a pro in building your WordPress website, i can show you it isn’t really harsh to make it your own. First you need to ask yourself what you want to invest in your blog. Hi lovelies!, Last weekend a reader asked me which template i’m using for my blog. For my blog i’m using WordPress, so their are many different themes on the internet which supporting WordPress. I’ve selected a few of my favorites. Ofcourse there are much more themes, but it is an whole operation to find them. I’m still searching for a new theme, however it’ll take i lot of time to adjust everything. Anway, i hope you’ll get inspired: 1. Oxygen, i’m using this theme at the moment. I love the clean & white details of it. Besides that the balance between pictures and text is just perfect for me. 2. Virtue, the advantage of this theme is in my opinion… the pictures popping out of the screen. No distractions what so ever, just you and your pics (ofcourse depends of the amount of widgets you’ll using). 3. Magazino, i’m hesitating if i want this to be my next theme. It is a bit more commercial then i’m used to. Anyway i’m not truly convinced right now, maybe when i add some widgets to this page… i will. 4.
