The perfect honeymoon destination

Hi dearest reader, It’s february and there is nothing more exciting than picking a destination for the summer vacay. This time it’s even more special, because it will be our honeymoon. Oh yes, THE wedding is coming closer. 5 months till the big day. Where will we drinking a cocktail this summer? It was a hard decision to choose the perfect honeymoon destination. Ofcourse we have a budget, certainly after the wedding itself. One thing was really a condition: it needs to be warm and i want to see palmtrees.   Ofcourse there are a lot of options in Europe, but as big USA lovers we’ve chosen an American state. We are going to: Florida & the Bahama’s Yay, this trip is on top of my bucketlist. I’m obsessed with the States for a long time now and i love to go once in a while. Luckily Jacco likes the USA too and is also excited about this. We can’t wait to go there, It’s going to be an epic summer.. i can feel it already!! Allright what’s the plan? These pictures were shot at a wonderfull location in Kansas: the museum of the Johnson County Community College. Yes, they have their own museum. What to wear to a Quinceanera

Hi dearest reader, Have you ever heard about a Quinceañera?, well also called fiesta de quince años is the celebration of a girl’s fifteenth birthday in parts of Latin America. I never been to a Quinceañera, so it was really an experience when i went to one. I’ve seen several episodes of my super sweet sixteen and this was kind a like. I really didn’t knew what i needed to wear to this big event, but i decided to choose te color red. I guess you can’t go wrong with red when it comes to Latin America. Ofcourse i found the perfect dress at ASOS. I wanted a descent, but girly dress and i found this gorgeous item. The Guess sandals i’m wearing are my new crush, maybe not convenient for the fall season but i like them. The pictures are taken by my host Terri, she didn’t done something like this before. Hi lovely reader, This is “my Kansas way of life” film part 4 already! My last one and probably the best one ;). I can’t believe that the time was running so fast, but it was such an awesome experience! I’m so glad i’ve made these movies (so easy with iMovie), so i can watch and reflect what i have done in so little time. I can’t thank my hosts Terri and Mario enough for the opportunities they gave me and they’ve showed me the hospitality of the mid-west :). Hi sweet reader, You are probably wondering what i am about to do in Kansas? Well, it’s for my exchange program. It’s now almost four years ago when i started as a teacher and since than i’ve learned so much about education. When i was young i didn’t had the plan to become a teacher, i wanted to be social worker or an actress or i wanted to do something with sports. I’ve started as a social worker, because becoming an actress wasn’t my thing i was too nervous to go on stage. And i’ve figured it out that a job that includes sports, wasn’t my cup of tea either. I was too lazy for it. At my internship at a school i discoverd i like to teach also. After i graduate as a bachelor of Social worker i wanted to keep on studying. I was still very young and wanted to be more educated so i also got my bachelor of Education. Now it’s like four years later and i am really satisfied with my progress. Hi loyal reader :), The summer has officially started, yay! this is my favorite season of the year. However i appreciate all of the four seasons, the summer is just the best for me as a person. I like the colour of my skin even more when it’s sunkissed.Besides that also ofcourse of the, most of the time, good weather. I feel like i do more things outside. Oh and did i mention already my long vacation? as a teacher i have at least six weeks off in summer time (not mentioned the other weeks during the year)!!. Last summer you might know my boyfriend and i went to America for a roadtrip for three weeks. And during this holiday i wore some great outfits i want to show you. These items you might see also this summer :). I am thrilled to hear which outfit you like best…. fact: i didn’t actually knew how i managed to get my suitcase (at home) weighted less than 30lbs (13 kg).

Comfort zone

Hi dearest reader, Some things you want so bad….is just one step outside your comfort zone. This quote i’ve seen at Pinterest was a real eye-opener. If i needed to make choices in my life, i rather choose the familiar (or save) one. There is no doubt it has to do with i’m such a controlfreak and always wants to know what’s about to happen. Well, the same quote has crossed my mind several times and i asked myself… what is the worst thing what could happen? (yess masterclass reflection). Since then everytime when i needed to make a choice i’ve realised in the end things aren’t always as bad as they seem, it’s about how bad you’ll see them. So i decided to enter the exchange program at my work. If everything is according to plan… i’m going (for two weeks) to Kansas, United States of America in October. Kansas (also called the sunflower state) reminds me of the Wizards of Oz, maybe i’ll see Dorothy ;). I’m very excited about this, but also a bit scared.. it’s a huge step outside my comfort zone!
