I’ve earned my stripes after all

Hi fashion lover,

I’ve earned my stripes after all,
is the name of this post because
i need to remember myself so now
and then what i’ve achieved so far.
I’m well educated and have a nice job,
besides that my friends and family are healthy
and so am i.
And the past few weeks these facts were very real to me.

I didn’t mentioned anything about this earlier,
but my father had a surgery.
The doctors found a strange “thing” in his chest.
It started as a birthmark,
but it grow larger than it was.
It were horrorfying weeks for my family and i.

It isn’t a special decease,
unfortunately a lot of people need to deal with cancer in their lives.
Especially my fathers side of the family,
where this terrible “thing” is running in the family.
I don’t know why and how but some way my father had luck.
They ereased the melanoma and he’s recovering very fast.
A week ago we received the good news,
everything is clean
(of course he stays under control of a doctor).

I was so relieved and thankful -my or our- luck still haven’t left me.
At the moment when i am writing this,
i am preparing myself for a Bingo evening.
And how crazy it sounds,
i really don’t care if i am going to win something..
because i think i already have won the jackpot:
everyone around me is healthy and happy!
