Blogclassevent @westergasterras – Yara Michels

Hi lovely people,

Yesterday it was an amazing day for moi. I went to the blogclassevent hosted by Yara Michels
First i want to tell you how i was able to get to this event.
Friday at my work i was instagramming (in my break ofcourse) and i saw an flyer with information about this “gathering”.
I was wow i should go to this, but i was that thrilled , i didn’t read the whole advertisement and i’ve sent Yara an email.
However a couple of minutes later, i read the subscription was closed (at wednesday, so i was two days late :O).
I thought oke this is a pity, next time better.
But, as you may know, things changed :). Someone wasn’t able to come, so i could replace him/her. i was soooooo happy!

Then the event….
I was stressing like 10 hours WHAT TO WEAR.. but then i realised, oke what is typical Esmeralda?. Well, prints/colour/hats or beanies.
– This is my advice to you, never forget who are you and what do you want to tell with your clothes.
I choosed a print pants, coloured knit in my fave colour (blue) with my lovely hat :). i was ready for take off 😉
At the event Yara welcomed every blogger, she gave everyone a hand at the door. It reminded me how important it is to let someone feel welcome, i do this with my students everyday. It’s a small gesture, but it means a lot.
Yara was really kind and i found i t really funny, because we wore almost the same clothes (print pants, light coloured knit, black heels). I felt really satisfied at that moment, i did my job well i thougt because even Yara was wearing it.
There where much more bloggers and all with their own style, for me it was like i was in a candy shop. i really love it when people got their own style.
With a big smile i found a great place at the front and the show started.
Yara had al lot of advices and i needed to make some notes. You’ll see the following weeks changes on my blog, all thanks to Yara. It’s a big upgrade.
Besides the inspiring things she said i was very impressed by her personality, so authentic. Authentic is also a word that sticks on my mind.

After her speech we had to time to socialise with eachoter, it was so much fun to talk with other bloggers and ask them also for some advices. I’m hoping there will be more events like this one, it was a really refreshing meeting.
I want to thank Yara and her team for making this event valuable for me and want to tell you all.. try to go to events like this one if you’re a blogger also =D!

Some transformations i changed right away afther some advices of Yara:
– Lay-out/theme.
– One language, primair english.
– Storytelling.

Ps. eventhough Yara’s suggestion was to write small posts, i found it quiet necessary to tell this all ;).
